About Zero Gravity Eats Smithtown

Being part of Long Island’s Smithtown business area for almost 4 years, we (Jennifer and Chuck of Zero Gravity Design Group) have decided to sample every eatery in the local Smithtown area. Much to our surprise, Smithtown is loaded with great food! Our goal is to eat at and review all lunch-serving establishments that have eat-in dining.

Since we started this blog almost a year ago, we have had some wonderful food and some not so wonderful food. Some of you have been very vocal about our reviews and we welcome the comments! Keep them coming in! Our hope is that these reviews will stem interest in new and established eateries in Smithtown and get you to try them out and make your own decisions.

See a review you don’t like? Visit that establishment and try something for yourself – then post a comment! It’s all about letting the people know what great restaurants Smithtown has. But don’t leave the good reviews alone! We encourage you you try the well-reviewed restaurants as well. Try something different and let us know what you think.

As of this summer (August 2008) we have visited almost all of the restuarants on the main strip in downtown Smithtown and have begun venturing out towards Hauppage and St James. If you have an idea for a place we should review, comment below and we’ll check it out.

Thank you again for reading, Bon Appetit!

Great idea! Thanks for sharing! My husband Don and I (western Smithtown residents for 21+ years)are always looking for good places to eat breakfast and lunch, in and around Smithtown. (We’re kind of early birds.) My cousins rave about Butera’s. Thanks for doing the “work” for us.

I too think Maureens is way overated. It is cute but ….I just do not understand the crowds.

Try Kitchen A Bistro in St James, and Feel Goods in St James.
